ICAA's Weatherization Program helps homeowners and renters reduce energy consumption while increasing comfort in their own homes. This in turn improves energy affordability, making houses more affordable, as well as decreases electricity generation and resulting pollution, improving local air quality and reducing adverse health effects, particularly asthma. Our weatherization services are provided using the most advanced technologies and testing protocols available in the housing industry.
Services include attic and sidewall insulation, emergency furnace repair or replacement, water heater insulation, air leakage reduction with the aid of infrared cameras, and diagnostic and safety inspections.
Interested individuals must sign up for Energy Assistance in their residing county and be eligible to receive weatherization services. Once eligibility is established they can contact ICAA at 715-532-4222 for an application. If you have any questions on where to go we can help.
Clients eligible for Energy Assistance are also eligible for Weatherization services.
In 2017, ICAA's Weatherization crews weatherized 211 homes in northwestern Wisconsin! Did you know that homes that are weatherized by ICAA save an average of $550 per year in energy savings?

"I am truly grateful for all the work done. I did not know this program was available. I was embarrassed that I had to apply for energy assistance. It was such a great experience. I would have had to get a loan otherwise to have the furnace fixed plus all the other wonderful things they did. Thanks!"
