Transportation

The Transportation Program of the Indianhead Community Action Agency strives to provide quality service to the residents of Rusk County for recreational, nutritional, medical and work related purposes.

Some of the services available are transportation within the city of Ladysmith; handicap accessible transportation within the city; two county routes that were planned to accommodate all populated areas of the county, contractual services, and personal escort transportation.

Based on fare rate - Destination trip call (715) 532-5031

Service Hours
Call 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. Elderly and handicapped are priority, other riders space availabilty.

City Bus Service (Demand Responsive Wheelchair lift bus available)

Fare Structure
$1.50 one way, $3.00 round trip - Off peak hours. Elderly and handicapped may ride at half price .75 cents one way, $1.50 round trip.

Service Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Off peak hours: 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

County Bus Service (Demand Responsive Wheelchair lift bus available)

Fare Structure
$3.00 one way
$6.00 round trip

Service Hours
Monday - Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. pick up
Return 3:15 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

County Wheelchair Lifts
Available anywhere within Rusk County to Ladysmith at a cost of $16.00 per round trip
